Carrickfergus Castle - hire for special events (Non Council Service)

Carrickfergus Castle Provides a spectacular backdrop for any special occasion with its wonderful views over Belfast Lough and its unique atmosphere, steeped in over 800 years of history.

The Banquet Hall
This room is furnished with long wooden tables and benches with over head spot lighting and replica medieval torches on the walls. The organiser may rearrange the furniture to suit the event, however, it must be replaced and the room cleaned before leaving the site. In addition to the banquet hall full use of the servery and toilet facilities, situated on the same floor, are included within the hire charge.

Day Time Hire (within opening hours)
The hire lasts 4 hours starting with the setting up of the room to the guests leaving and the reorganising of the room. The hire charge is for venue only, any other arrangements must be made by the event organiser and agreed with the Castle Management.

A Strict Maximum of 60 persons or a Maximum of 50 persons for Civil Marriages/ Partnerships (including bridal party)

A No Smoking policy applies throughout the castle grounds and buildings. All persons must leave the castle site if they wish to smoke.

No alcohol permitted.

In the case of marriages/partnerships, confetti is not allowed within the castle walls and due to the castle terrain it is not possible to cater for horses within the grounds.
