Have your Dog Microchipped for FREE!

From 2nd April 2012, legislation surrounding dog ownership will change. As before, it will be an offence not to licence your dog. However, from 2nd April 2012, a dog cannot have a valid licence unless the dog is micro-chipped. The Fixed Penalty for failing to licence your dog could be up to £80.
Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity, is offering the chance for owners to bring their dogs to one of the road shows listed below and get their dog micro-chipped for FREE.

- Monday 26 March - Ransevyn Drive Whitehead AM, Windsor Park Whitehead PM
- Tuesday 27 March - Glassillan Grove Greenisland AM, Knockleigh Drive Greenisland PM
- Wednesday 28 March - Eden Village on the Larne Road AM, Victoria shops the Euro Spar car park PM
- Thursday 29 March - Bridewell Drive (Sunnylands Shops) AM, Hawthorn Avenue (Woodburn Shops) PM
- Friday 30 March - Windmill Avenue (1 hour if possible) AM, Oakfield Drive (1 hour if possible) AM, Castlemara Drive PM

If you cannot make it along to one of these venues, participating Veterinary Surgeries within the Carrickfergus Borough Council are offering free micro-chipping between now and 31st March 2012 for all dogs.
