Boiler Replacement Scheme Launched

A new boiler replacement scheme has been launched by the Department for Social Development and is being administered through the NI Housing Executive Grants Office.
The scheme is open to owner occupiers and private tenants who are
- aged 60 or over
- in receipt of a State Pension and Rates Relief (but not Housing Benefit)
- with a boiler that is at least 15 years old.
The scheme offers an allowance of up to £1,500.
Householders may convert from oil to gas or wood pellet boilers.
