A Family Fun Day held at Bashfordsland Wood on Saturday 26 February 2011 attracted hundreds of people from throughout Northern Ireland despite the hail, wind and rain.
Those attending had a variety of activities to entertain them including face painting, storytelling, samba drumming, guided walks, willow weaving and arts and crafts.
Bashfordsland Wood is Carrickfergus Borough's newest public park.
