Adverse Weather Conditions disrupt Bin Collections

The refuse collection services in the Carrickfergus Borough Council area have been disrupted due to the adverse weather conditions.
Difficulties are being experienced in getting our vehicles around the snowy and icy roads. The vehicles weigh up to 26 tonnes when full and manoeuvring them in residential areas is difficult in these poor road conditions.
There will be no bin collections on Friday, but we will endeavour to complete these collections on Monday and Tuesday (weather permitting).
If your domestic waste (grey) bins is missed, additional bags will be collected. Please leave bins out as normal and we will try to get there as soon as we can.
We would like to assure customers that every effort will be made to catch up as soon as possible and thank them for their patience.
