NEW! Exciting new class time and classes

Amphitheatre will be announcing two exciting new class timetable from Monday 13th December and from Monday 3rd January 2011.  These include the latest craze to be sweeping the nation and already gathering momentum within Amphitheatre… ZUMBA!!

ZUMBA is the energetic and exciting new way to keep fit through dance and will be coming the Amphitheatre from Tuesday 4th January at 6.45pm, with a preview class being be held on Friday 17th December.  Booking is essential!!

WARNING: Attending Zumba fitness classes will cause a severe urge to dance along with an extreme sense of happiness.  If you experience any of the symptoms, please tell your friends immediately and join the party!!

NEW! Christmas gift vouchers now available

Do you always dread this time of year and wonder what to get that special someone - a gift with a difference…?  Then why not say it with the gift of health and wellbeing?

Gym membership vouchers are available up to 24th December and can be purchased for 3, 6 or 9 months and will commence on 2nd January 2011.

Or if you fancy something more relaxing, Sanctuary Gift Vouchers are available now and are valid all year round!

Pool restrictions (School Swimming Programme & Children’s swimming lessons)

The schools swimming programme will recommence once again during term time from 20th November up to the Christmas period, as will children’s after school swimming lessons. Therefore pool restrictions will be in place once again. 

Early bird’s will have unrestricted use of the pool from 6.30am – 9.30am Monday to Friday.

At Amphitheatre Wellness Centre, we aim to meet the needs of all customers, therefore whilst there will be restrictions in place at certain times of the day, the pool will remain open for public swimming.

Class Timetable

The darker nights may be here but you can keep your motivation and energy levels up by participating in the wide variety of classes on offer at Amphitheatre.  The new class timetable will commence on Monday 1st November and is available to download here.

Classes can be booked one week in advance and are free to members and £4 to non members (payment must be made at the time of booking). 

Due to popular demand the ORIGINAL Outdoor Boot Camp is back!!  Commencing on Tuesday 9th November let the gang put you through your paces for 6 weeks on Tuesday and Thursday nights in time for guilt free Christmas!  Boot Camp is open to all abilities but as places are limited it is advised to pre register however there will be places available for booking up to one week in advance.  Enrolment is ongoing from Thursday 4th November and is free to members

Pi Café under new management

Pi Café is now under new management with an excellent variety of healthy meals and snacks along with the ever popular favourites including pasta bakes, healthy burgers, filled sodas, all day breakfasts and fresh salad bar as well as a wide range of speciality coffees and teas.

The Sanctuary Room

Picture this…you’ve just had a hard work out at the Amphitheatre Wellness Centre and want some time out to pamper yourself.  Then why not book yourself in for a luxury Therapeutic Body Massage, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage or a Foot Spa??

Physiotherapy now available at the Sanctuary Monday 7-10pm and Saturday 10am-1pm

  • First Appointment – 45mins £35.00
  • Follow up appointment – 30mins £30.00

NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)

Places for the next two NPLQ courses are now open for enrolment.  Open to anyone over 16, the NPLQ is the industrial award for lifeguard and is valid for 2 years upon successful completion.  The price for the course is £250 and dates are detailed below:

Wildcats

Wildcats Activ8 is working in partnership with Sport Northern Ireland to offer a unique form of physical activity aimed at children aged 5 – 11 years old. By joining a Wildcats Activ8 Club, children can take part in fun activities to develop their skills for sport.

The Wildcats Activ8 Club will be commencing again on Monday 27th September for 10 weeks, with registration starting from Monday 20th September at the reception desk.

Each session will last 1hour and 30mins starting at 4.15pm finishing 5.45pm

The cost is £20.00 per child and they will be booked in for a 10 week block.

FIT KIDS

The stepping stones of healthy life…. Fit Kids is back for a new exciting term starting on Saturday 4th September.

Providing fun Fitness, Health and Wellness for young people aged 4 – 16 years old through participation in various sports, fitness and activities designed for their own age group, Fit Kids is a place to hang out with your mates, learn how to use the gym to develop a stronger fitter body as well as trying a few sports as well as developing movements, body awareness, balance, agility, communication and social skills.
