- Indoor & Outdoor sport: The modernisation of Carrickfergus Leisure Centre, rebranded as AMPHITHEATRE has created an exciting new leisure facility as a lasting legacy to the Borough’s ratepayers and promoting access for all. Newly refurbished facilties include a brand new state of the art fitness suite on par with those in the private sector, a spa area including a jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and direct access to the swimming pools, a family changing area, an indoor childrens soft play area which is also avavialble for birthday parties, a new larger and brigher cafe, and the creation of new halls and conference facilities. In addition to the facilities, AMPHITHEATRE hosts an exciting array of classes available to both members and non members. Outdoor facilities at the AMPHITHEATRE include the Synthenic Pitch, Tennis Court, Children's Play Area and attractive ponds and parkland.

- Bowling: Carrickfergus Borough Council manages three superb Bowling Greens within the Borough at Shaftesbury Park, Greenisland Playing Fields and at Whitehead Recreational Ground at Islandmagee Road. more
