Sports Development Grant Awards

The Sports Development team at Carrickfergus Borough Council prides itself with assisting aspiring sports teams and individuals to meet their goals through various grants for Excellence, New Club, Sports Training, Club Equipment, Sport Events & Sports Coaching. June 2011

 

Chairman of the Leisure & Sports Development Sub Committee (Cllr Billy Ashe) presenting a cheque to Mark Ferris from Carrickfergus Rugby Club for representing the Borough at the Under 18 Ulster Inter Provincial Rugby squad. A Sport Grant Award of £135 was awarded to the individual.

Chairman of the Leisure & Sports Development Sub Committee (Cllr Billy Ashe) presenting a cheque to Margaret Letters for representing the Borough at the National Equestrian Competition in Peterborough, England. A Sport Grant Award of £150 was awarded to the individual.

Chairman of the Leisure & Sports Development Sub Committee (Cllr Billy Ashe) presenting two cheques to Daniel Hunter & Edward Black with Coach Elaine Hall from Carrickfergus Knights Special Olympics Club for representing the Borough at the International Special Olympics Football Tournament in Geneva. A Sport Grant Award of £150 was awarded to both individuals.

Chairman of the Leisure & Sports Development Sub Committee (Cllr Billy Ashe) presenting a cheque to Harry Aston from Carrick Rangers Colts for assisting the individual in revalidating his UFEA B coaching licence. A Sport Grant Award of £90 was awarded to the individual.

A Sport Grant Award of £125 was awarded to the individual.

Chairman of the Leisure & Sports Development Sub Committee (Ald Billy Ashe) presenting cheques to Leslie Crothers (Coach) from Millview Swifts Junior Football Club, for representing the Borough at the National Youth Football Tournament in Scotland. A Sport Grant Award of £400 was awarded to the club.
