Amphitheatre Wellness Centre is pleased to announce the return of the popular Wildcats Programme open to children aged 5-9 years old from Monday 27th September onwards. Wildcats activities Enrolment is open from Monday 20th September at Amphitheatre.

Wildcats Activ8 is working in partnership with Sport Northern Ireland to offer a unique form of physical activity aimed at children aged 5 – 9 years old. By joining a Wildcats Activ8 Club, children can take part in fun activities to develop their skills for sport.

The content of the club has been carefully selected to ensure it is fun, safe and challenging as the competence of the child increases. Each session plan is designed to target specific areas of skill and development with a natural progression throughout each of the levels. As progression continues, sessions begin to focus on individual skills and key sporting elements.

The Wildcats Activ8 Pathway aims to improve children’s abilities in the following areas:

  • Agility
  • Balance
  • Co-ordination
  • Body Movement
  • Team Work
  • Confidence
  • Enjoyment

Wildcat Age categories

  • Wild cubs 5–7 years
  • Wildcats bronze 8-9 years

Children taking the membership will receive an exclusive membership card, mental pin badge and Activ8 t-shirt and a certificate for achievement.

Start Dates

  • Wild Cubs                     Monday 27thSeptember 2010
  • Wildcats Bronze            Monday 27th September 2010

Each session will last 1hour and 30mins starting at 4.15pm finishing 5.45pm

The cost is £20.00 per child and they will be booked in for a 10 week block.

Children that have previously participated in the Wildcats programme can only move to the next level when they reach the appropriate age. For example if a child completed both terms (20weeks) of the wild cubs class they could only move to the next level if they are the correct age i.e. if they are 8 years old before 30th September 2010.
