7th Carrickfergus International Ladies Football Festival

Football fever comes to Carrickfegus once more courtesy of the Carrickfergus International Ladies Football Festival featuring teams from the USA, Poland and Ireland competing against the best of local home grown talent.
If you’ve always thought of football as a male preserve, this summer will make you change your mind!
The seventh Carrickfergus Ladies Football Festival will bring together a spectacular array of talent in the sport that has long been seen as a male sport. From Tuesday 28th July to Friday 31st July matches will be played each night with the first match starting at 6.30pm. Saturday 1st August concludes the festival with an exciting array of talent vying for the Plate Competition and the Championship Cup.
Matches are always competitive with all teams striving to win the Championship Cup but the festival is more than the cup competition. With Junior Under 14 and Under 12 competitions - featuring two teams from Manchester, a coaching clinic, a family fun day on Saturday 1st August and a the return by popular demand of the Five a Side Senior Competition, there really is something for everyone this year. Spectating is free so you can be guaranteed a week full of activitiy and a stadium full of atmosphere.
