Jim McClurg was first elected to Carrickfergus Borough Council in 2001, and is now in his 10th year as a Councillor, representing the Knockagh DEA. Jim has served as Chairman of the Chief Executive's Office for 4 years, Vice - Chair of a number of other Committees and is ex-officio to most Council sub-committees.
Mr McClurg is now in his second consecutive term as Mayor and feels that he is privileged to serve the people of Carrickfergus Borough. He hopes to use his position as Mayor to meet as many citizens of the Borough as possible from the young to the not so young. Mayor McClurg will strive to do his best for all the people of Carrickfergus and highlight how vibrant and energetic the Borough really is.
